About

The Core’s purpose is to analyze and integrate data from across the CEIRR network, develop visualizations and bioinformatic tools, and increase modeling communication and capacity among CEIRR researchers. We also make our tools and many group meetings open to the wider scientific community.

Structure

The Core was founded in 2021 as part of the Penn-CEIRR Center, funded by the NIH Centers for Excellence in Influenza Research and Response. The Core is led by Sarah Cobey (University of Chicago) with members Ben Cowling (University of Hong Kong), Trevor Bedford (Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center), Jesse Bloom (Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center) and Louise Moncla (University of Pennsylvania). Core technical operations are managed by Manon Ragonnet, a senior research scientist at the University of Chicago.

Membership

We invite all CEIRR investigators and other respiratory virus researchers outside CEIRR to get in touch with us with suggestions for how the Core can facilitate their work. Please sign up below if you’d like to be notified of upcoming meetings and events.
